Let’s learn how to publish and embed a no-code Mapify app directly into your website.
Once you're logged into your Mapify account, head over to the “Apps” section and select the app you want to share. In this example, we’ll use one that displays real-time data from Helsinki’s public transportation. Click on the “Share” tab.
By default, all Mapify apps are set to Private. That means even if you share the link, users won’t be able to access the app unless they’re signed into their own Mapify account. To make your app accessible to everyone, update the visibility setting to Public.
Next, add a Google Maps API key. This is provided by your client or organization and enables key map features like search, zoom, and Street View. After entering the API key, Mapify will use it to power all mapping capabilities in your app.
After that, you’ll need to authorize the domain or IP address of the website where your app will be embedded. This security measure ensures the embed code only works on approved sites. Add the domain, click “Save,” and Mapify will apply your settings.
With that done, copy the embed code Mapify generatec. It includes everything needed to display your app externally. Now go to your website’s source code and paste in the embed code where you want the app to show up. Save the changes, refresh your page and there it is.
Your interactive Mapify app is now live on your site. It’s fully operational, styled the way you set it up, and connected to real-time data.
It’s a fast, flexible way to share geospatial applications. No coding required. Whether you're building tools for transportation, logistics, or smart cities, this is the easiest way to get real-time maps online.
