IPBeja - Polytechnic Institute of Beja and Focus BC announce the signing of a collaboration protocol within the scope of the Master's in Internet of Things (IoT).
The Master's in Internet of Things aims to educate qualified professionals in the field of IoT, capable of creating innovative solutions for existing problems, by integrating multidisciplinary teams. The course covers topics in Computer Engineering, such as programming, wireless sensor networks, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, security, and privacy, among others. The master's program has a duration of two years and operates in a post-work and blended-learning regime, combining in-person sessions at the School of Technology and Management of IPBeja with online sessions. The program is accredited by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES).
On the other hand, Mapify, a product developed by Focus BC, aims to democratize real-time location intelligence through a no-code approach. Mapify will provide free access and support to its software for all teachers and students involved in the Master's in Internet of Things.
This protocol will support, on the one hand, the R&D activities of the academic community in the business context, and, on the other hand, it will allow companies to incorporate innovation into their processes, products, and services. The main purpose of this collaboration is the development of solutions with direct application in the challenges and themes of IoT. This protocol provides students with access to cutting-edge equipment and software, as well as internship and employment opportunities in the field of IoT.
“This protocol marks a significant milestone for Mapify as it is our second partnership with a higher education institution, and notably, our first partnership specifically centered around IoT, which has always been a core component of Mapify's identity. Our commitment to offering access to real-time location intelligence through a low-code platform aligns perfectly with the objectives of this Master's in the Internet of Things. Together, we are excited about equipping the next generation of IoT professionals with cutting-edge tools and knowledge, nurturing innovation, and tackling real-world challenges,"
said Vasco Pinheiro, Managing Partner at Focus BC.
